Zug, Switzerland – WeSendit Media AG, a global leader in web 3 file management and file transfer technology, announces that Jens Herbst, founding member and longtime CEO, will hand over his position to Reto Massalongo at the end of June. This planned handover marks a strategic step in the company’s development and underlines the new corporate campaign under the motto “change is growth”.
Jens Herbst, who has managed and built up the company since its foundation in 2014, will continue to play an active role in the company as one of the main shareholders and a member of the board of directors. He stepped down to pursue personal interests and to strategically infuse fresh perspectives into the company’s management, fostering innovation and growth.
Reto Massalongo, who previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), takes over the leadership of WeSendit. With more than eight years of experience at WeSendit and an outstanding expertise in technological innovation, Reto Massalongo is perfectly positioned to lead the company in its next phase of growth. His fresh energy and deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation make him the perfect fit for this position.
Over the course of the year, WeSendit plans to launch several groundbreaking projects, including the innovative nodes network. This storage network allows node operators to actively participate in the web 3 file management technology and earn rewards by using the company’s proprietary utility token. These developments are part of a series of planned enhancements to the WeSendit ecosystem aimed at further expanding the utility token use case, stabilizing pricing and further accelerating the company’s growth and consolidating its technology leadership in the industry.
