This document answers our community’s most important questions regarding the strategic realignment, exchange consolidation, and the future of the WeSendit ecosystem.
1. Exchange Consolidation & Token Transfer
1. Why is WeSendit consolidating exchanges?
We are pooling our liquidity on strong, strategic trading venues (PancakeSwap & Gate.io). This is an economically necessary step to increase price stability, reduce volatility (sharp price fluctuations), and improve capital efficiency. A stable market is the fundamental prerequisite for onboarding corporate clients and ensuring the long-term health of the $WSI ecosystem.
2. Which exchanges and trading pairs are being delisted?
Affected: Baby Doge Swap, MEXC, DigiFinex, and XT.com. On PancakeSwap, only the old trading pairs (USDT/WSI & BUSD/WSI) are being removed. Our main liquidity pool, WSI/WBNB on PancakeSwap, remains and will be strengthened.
3. By when must I withdraw my $WSI tokens from these exchanges?
We cannot provide an exact date. The delisting process is handled individually by each exchange (MEXC, DigiFinex, XT.com). It is essential that you actively follow the official communications from the exchange where you hold your tokens to know their specific deadlines for trading and withdrawals.
4. What happens if I don’t withdraw my tokens by this date?
After the delisting time set by the respective exchange, trading will be halted, and withdrawals could become complicated or impossible. The responsibility for the tokens then lies with the respective exchange. Please act proactively.
5. Where should I transfer my tokens?
You have two main options:
- Supported exchanges: Gate.io, Bitpanda
- Decentralized wallets: Any non-custodial wallet that supports BEP-20 tokens (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet). From there, you can continue to trade on PancakeSwap (WSI/WBNB).
6. How do I set up a BEP-20 compatible wallet to hold my tokens securely?
One of the easiest methods is to set up a “self-custody” wallet like MetaMask or Trust Wallet.
We recommend visiting our Support Center: https://support.wesendit.com/
7. Does this step mean WeSendit is selling tokens?
No. As emphasized in the communication, WeSendit is not selling its own tokens. We are merely moving the liquidity we provide from several small pools into a few large ones to improve market health.
8. Isn’t this step bad for trading volume or the price?
In the short term, there may be shifts. In the long term, however, this step is positive. Deep liquidity on a few exchanges builds more trust, attracts larger buyers, and reduces volatility, which supports healthy price development.
2. Node Network & Infrastructure
9. Should existing node operators keep their nodes running?
Yes, absolutely. Continuing to run the node is the best way to actively participate in the network and to build or maintain a good node score for the long term. The stabilization of the token also makes the earnings (Rewards) more stable and the incentives easier to calculate. With the upcoming major node update, we will also be in a position to attract more significant corporate clients and increase the utilization of storage space.
10. Is the data flow in the network currently monitored, and how can operators check their node performance?
Yes, transparency is important to us. The basic metrics of the node network are visible at any time on our public dashboard: https://dashboard.wsi-sns.network/public-dashboard
We are already working on expanding the dashboard with the upcoming node update, so that in the future, detailed metrics such as data volume, geographic distribution, and specific traffic can also be displayed.
11. Is there an official roadmap for the further development of the node network?
Yes. In the course of the strategic realignment, the new leadership team has already discussed important impulses and new priorities. These are now being carefully evaluated and integrated into the existing plans.
We will publish an updated roadmap for the node network and the WeSendit application as soon as this planning is complete. We ask for your understanding that this must be done carefully so that we can communicate realistic and reliable timelines.
3. Token Utility & Future Value
12. What role will the $WSI token play after the strategic realignment, and does the delisting mean the token is losing importance?
Quite the opposite. Delisting from inefficient markets strengthens the token’s importance. A token ecosystem only functions with a stable, liquid, and trustworthy asset. This consolidation lays the groundwork for evolving the $WSI token from a speculative object into a true utility token for our core services (data storage, transfer, node operation).
13. How will the token be used in the node network in the future (Utility, Staking, Rewards)?
The future utility of the $WSI token is based on several pillars:
- Utility (Application): The existing Web3 functions on wesendit.com (e.g., wallet login incl. benefits, referral program) will be fully retained and further expanded.
- Utility (Node Network): This is the main future utility. Clients (Private & Business) will use $WSI tokens to access decentralized storage. These tokens are distributed to node operators as compensation (Rewards) according to the node system documentation. This creates direct, organic demand and token circulation.
- Security (Staking): There will be no “staking” in the sense of pure token multiplication (like DeFi yield farming). Instead, node operators must “stake” $WSI as collateral to participate in the network. This serves as a commitment to network security and protects against manipulation.
- Other Use Cases: Further utility applications are already in planning.
14. What mechanisms will secure the token’s value long-term (e.g., Burning, Liquidity Pools, Fees)?
The value will be primarily secured by organic demand (Utility). As more businesses need to utilize $WSI for storage, demand increases.
- Fees: A part of the network fees will be used for the further development of the infrastructure and other parts of the ecosystem; another part will be burned.
- Burning: We are sticking to our plan and will burn more tokens to support the price level deflatorily.
- Liquidity Pools: We are currently evaluating plans to strengthen the LPs on PancakeSwap. This includes classic incentives as well as innovative concepts, such as linking liquidity provision with node operation or exclusive benefits for loyal community members.
15. Is WeSendit planning new partnerships or integrations to increase token utility?
Yes. New partnerships and integrations are a central part of our growth strategy. Our focus is clearly on sustainable and strategic cooperations that expand the real use (utility) of our network and offer our corporate clients genuine added value.
16. How do token holders specifically benefit from the expansion of the decentralized infrastructure?
Token holders benefit directly from growing utility. As the platform grows and more corporate clients demand storage, the $WSI token is required for service utilization. This increasing, real demand for the token (to use a service) reflects the fundamental value of the entire ecosystem.
4. Future Strategy & Communication
17. Will there be new listings on other exchanges in the future (e.g., Bitget, Bybit, Binance)?
Our current focus is on consolidation and creating deep, stable liquidity on our strategic partner exchanges (Gate.io, PancakeSwap). Once we have established this stable foundation and the token’s utility is growing organically through the expanding node network, we will evaluate further strategic listings on Tier-1 exchanges. Healthy utility comes before rushed listings.
18. How will you ensure that future changes are communicated early and transparently?
Transparent and proactive communication is a top priority for the new leadership. We are currently restructuring our communication processes to ensure that all strategic developments are shared early, reliably, and clearly through our official channels (Blog, Telegram, X).
19. Will there be a regular community call or AMA (Ask Me Anything) in the future?
We understand the desire for direct exchange. However, since AMAs (Ask Me Anything) were often attended by only a small group in the past, we want to leave this decision to you. We want to create formats that provide the greatest benefit to the majority.
Therefore, we will soon start a poll in our community channels: Would you like regular AMAs with the leadership team, or do you prefer other formats such as detailed written updates or focused tech talks? Your feedback will decide the future format.
20. Are there plans for a rebranding or a new token utility model?
No, a rebranding is not planned. WeSendit is a strong, established brand.
There will also be no new token utility model. Instead, we are now fully focused on the finalization and implementation of the existing utility model (see question 13), which can now unfold its full potential with the expansion of our node infrastructure.
21. Will WeSendit conduct marketing campaigns or community events in the future to strengthen trust?
Yes, definitely. However, our marketing focus will adapt strategically: away from short-term hype, towards sustainable growth. In concrete terms, this means: a stronger focus on B2B marketing to attract corporate clients to our node network, as well as “utility marketing” that clearly explains the use and benefits of the ecosystem.
5. Corporate Structure & Leadership
22. Why was “Swissness” emphasized if parts of the holding are from Germany?
For us, “Swissness” is more than just a proof of origin; it is a promise of quality that stands for reliability, security, data protection, and precision.
Here are the facts about our structure:
- WeSendit Media AG is a Swiss corporation (Aktiengesellschaft) with its official headquarters in Zug.
- Our main investors, apfeleins.group AG and 4element Investments AG, are both Swiss companies.
The apfeleins.group bundles expertise from various fields: It includes five Swiss companies (Apfel & Gold GmbH, Solvetia GmbH, Uniontax AG, Octrotronic AG, and now WeSendit Media AG) as well as three German companies (h1 GmbH, Bitbrew GmbH, Hosting-Pilot GmbH) that contribute specialized tech services.
Our operational center, our legal anchoring, and our quality standards are and will remain firmly rooted in Switzerland.
23. How does the new corporate structure fit into the overall strategy?
The new structure is a strategic growth engine. The focus is on our two main investors, apfeleins.group AG and 4element Investments AG, who act as strong strategic partners.
- The apfeleins.group, led by our founder Dimitri Tirez, brings the original WeSendit vision and deep tech expertise back into the company.
- 4element Investments AG provides important capital and strategic experience in building and scaling technology companies.
- Through the apfeleins.group, we also bundle direct know-how from crucial areas such as fintech, finance, law, and the tech industry. This synergy of expertise is ideal to support WeSendit’s next growth spurt.
